Most pressure washing companies run a machine over the concrete and call it done. The surface looks clean until it rains — then the algae comes right back because only the surface was treated, not the root growth embedded in the concrete's pores. We pre-treat every surface with a detergent that breaks down organic growth, oil, and grime at the molecular level before we pressure wash  so what we rinse away is dead, not dormant.
